72. Why Birds? 8 - We Lost Pistachio :( 12Dec2020

12 Dec 2020

sad day.
gutted to have lost pistachio! 😢😔

he was found bleeding from his nose, as if he had been attacked.

by what?
or by whom?

we'll never know.

hawkeye stood nearby, just as shaken as we are.
shaken or guilty, we can't tell.

Pistachio kept opening his eyes when he had the strength to look at us. we talked to him as he lay too still and i think he was comforted that we were there. hope he wasn't in too much pain :(

while we were with Pistachio in his last hours, i got a shocking message - someone from my childhood (cheryl lie.w, from church) passed on that morning. omg. but, how did i feel more for the bird than a person i used to know? but i did.

that's the way it is.

it's so hard to lose a bird who's been so sweet and bonded.

goodbye cheryl and
goodbye our sweet Pistachio!
