142. Couldn't Save this Poor Baby Bulbul 15may2021

a few hours later, it could sit up and later perch on the wooden stick in the cage. but it wouldn't eat or drink or do anything. it just stood still most of the time.
Baby Bulbul from the Mango Tree
a baby bulbul fell off its nest from a height - the nest is way up high in the mango tree. we heard and saw a large black raven come by, then some noise from where the nest is and then it flew off.
wish we had more experience or the knowledge to nurse the baby bird back to health. it died the day after :(

when we first found the baby bird, it looked injured or sick or dying.
it didn't even have any energy to get up :(
at one point, we left the baby bird on the grass but the parents didn't come down to the baby bird. so we thought the cage would have been a safer place for the baby bird. but i'm not sure if that was the best we could have done. we wouldn't have known.
maybe we should have left the baby bird in a flower pot instead? not sure if the parent birds could even save the baby. it was in quite a bad condition. not sure if injured from the fall or from attack by a raven or sickly.
doubt it was sickly though. its wings looked broken at some parts (we had a closer look at its wings after it died).
videos taken of the parent bulbul birds
