72. Why Birds? 11 - We lost Hawkeye. So Sad. RIP 9 March 2023

9 March 2023

somehow we weren't in time to save Hawkeye.

she was found, headless, at the corner of the cage floor.

likely attacked by a rat. (we will kill it!)

- the rat traps came on the day of her death :(

i can't believe she's gone :(

i talk to her before we go out and when i return home.

she usually calls out for me and nods her head and pretends she's a black bird.

there's really nothing we can do.

we buried her in our garden, next to grumpy the fighting fish.

and we used mummy's flowers to mark her grave.

RIP Hawkeye, we love you!
