happy birthday, me!

after medical appt (prof leo) and lunch at people's park,

went shopping and didn't buy any of these clothes... 😂

bought these triumph black bras though - $34.90 each

lunch at people's park

- knife cut noodles with beef soup $5.50

- coconut $3 (no pics, just selfies with red face haha)

- walnut and black sesame dessert / tong sui shop (no pics)

so i ordered knife cut noodles with beef soup

and added extra chilli to my spicy mix

almost couldn't eat this bowl...

and a pretty china young woman asked me about this noodles. she bought a bowl for herself and plonked down opposite me at my table LOL we chatted a little.

she's from china, think it's chong shan - i should have asked her more about her hometown. she was so sociable and chatty, i felt very comfortable talking to her. she mentioned that it's expensive to eat in singapore - but praised the seafood restaurant for good food at high prices that she said was worth it. she also mentioned how she supported china nationals by eating at restaurants run by their own people. 

her kids ate at macdonalds and her parents or aunty/uncle ate from the szechuan zhichar shop. she said the tomato egg dish at around $7-$8 was expensive - omg, she hasn't seen the prices for our local zhichar yet!

noodle soup was so spicy my face was red!

then dinner at nummum thai kitchen, thomson road

we had a nice late dinner

- crab omelette $28
- seabass deep fried (salt baked fish sold out) $26
- thai satay x4 sticks $10
- grilled sotong $12
- tom yum soup (clear) $12
