vern had a stroke on 29 Nov 2025.
i went to visit on 1 Dec.
only hwi ching (in Oz) and may (in Nepal) didn't get to see him.
so we meet for dinner!

(oh, except Ben who's with Bib and Muffin!)

Parvin and Ben went to visit Vern at SGH ICU.

missed my taichi class BUT...

we enjoyed 1.5 hours of porridge buffet at Crystal Cafe, Killny Road (S$27/pax, 1.5 hrs), then went to Vern's place for wine and chit chat

- herbal prawns (fresh! soup light and soothing too!)

- honey char siew (wow)

- hainanese chicken rice (v nice!)

- har cheong fish (so yum, tho salty)

- sambal brinjal and beans (love this!)

- porridge ingredients, dishes, sauces -
eg. pork leg, lor dishes, salted, fermented and pickled dishes

- kueh, ching tng dessert, coffee and tea, ice cream

based on the premise that the best time to enjoy is 50-70 years

(above 70 years, health may not be good for some activities

and below 50, we may not be financially able to enjoy "retirement")

Yim May and I visited Gerald's dad at his orchid garden. Uncle is 95 in 2024, will be 96 in 2025. wanted Uncle to take a look at Mummy's Orchids and see if they're doing ok. and, good thing Gerald was home, we had a very nice time there!
